The Korean unit of Otis Worldwide Corp. will install 25 SkyRise and 14 Gen3 elevator systems in K-Project, a high-profile office building in Seoul’s trendy Seongsoo neighborhood, the company announced.
In addition to the advanced elevator systems, Otis will provide its Compass 360 destination management system as well as 10 escalators and four moving walks. The installation will start in early 2027, according to a release on the Otis website.

“With Otis’ SkyRise high rise elevators and Compass 360 destination dispatching systems, we offer faster and more efficient transportation solutions to reach the higher floors of the building,” said Nick Choi, Otis Korea’s New Equipment Business Lead in the announcement.
“Our Gen3 elevator system will serve lower floors of the building, delivering superior reliability for passengers and increased energy efficiency,” he added.
Built by Samsung C&T on the former site of an E-Mart store and designed by Britain’s David Chipperfield, K-Project is slated to serve as the new headquarters for a Korean IT company. The Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat reported in May 2024 that the development had recently broken ground.
K-Project was identified by the Seoul Metropolitan Government as the first project under the Urban Architectural Design Innovation Plan, which aims to improve the Korean capital through architectural design and urban development. The building will feature a lower floor accommodating e-sports competitions, exhibitions and performances, as well as a rooftop 17 stories above ground that will offer views of the surrounding area.
